Your Host Manolo Torres
Manolo Torres is one of your hosts at Marbella. Most people call him Manny. If you dine frequently at our "sister" restaurant, Mallorca on W. 9th Street in downtown Cleveland's "Warehouse District", you probably recognize him. Manny grew up in Spain. He is the founder of Mallorca and the inspiration behind Marbella.

You will surely get to meet Manny one night at Marbella. Manny is always offering suggestions on food and wine and will often sit down with you for a few minutes if invited.

Spanish Cuisine

Marbella features authentic Spanish dishes made from traditional recipes. The history of Spanish cuisine dates back to the beginning of civilization. Over hundreds of years, the flavors, ingredients, spices and techniques have been refined and perfected.

Its history began with Phoenician, Greek, and Carthaginian coastal settlements. Later the Romans, and more importantly the Moors, brought with them elements of their own cooking that lingered and blended with Spain's culinary heritage.

Imports from the New World included the tomato, potato, sweet potato, vanilla, chocolate, and many varieties of beans, zucchini, and the pepper tribe. There are olives in profusion, vineyards and citrus fruit. Spaniards are very fond of garlic; they love all types of sweet and hot peppers and their beloved jamon serrano -- cured ham. The golden spice saffron enhances many Spanish foods, paella in particular.

Spain's most famous wine -- sherry, both dry and sweet -- flavors entrees and desserts.
Cuisine in the Iberian Peninsula echoes the cooking of the Middle East (honey and cumin) and that of the Americas (dishes combining meat with chocolate).

Yet, essentially, it is family cooking, comparatively simple to prepare and characterized by fresh ingredients. Besides meat, poultry, game, and fish entrees, there are a wealth of dishes featuring beans, rice, eggs, vegetables, and savory pies that make a meal. Tapas -- small morsels or appetizers in great variety -- play a role in meals throughout the day.

We serve the finest Spanish cuisine in Cleveland seven days a week. We open for lunch at 11:30 am Monday through Saturday. Dinner is served from from 4:00 pm to 10 pm Monday through Thursday and from 4 pm to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Selections from our dinner menu are available from 1 pm to 9 pm on Sunday. Reservations and Parties at Marbella Restaurant

Reservations are suggested on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are planning on bringing a number of friends or business associates, it is always a good idea to call ahead. With advance notice, we can prepare a table that is just the right size for your party. To make reservations, please call 216-464-9939.

If you are planning something special, be sure to give us a call ahead of time. We are always thrilled to assist in making your experience at Marbella unforgettable. If you have a very special romantic evening in store, call us first and we can order fresh roses or flowers for your table. If you are planning the ultimate in special events, a wedding proposal, make sure you call us before you arrive. One of our tuxedoed waiters can bring your engagement ring on a silver tray in a glass of champagne right before you propose.

We have a private dining room that is available for large parties and business functions. We are always happy to give you a tour of the restaurant beforehand to insure everything is in order.

Our extremely talented Executive Chef, Marcelo Fadul

Meet our Executive Chef, Marcelo Fadul. Marcelo is a master of Spanish cuisine. He was born and raised in Brazil. He has worked as a Chef at 4 Diamond restaurants in Spain and New York City. Marcelo excepted our invitation to come to Cleveland in 2001 to become a partner and the Executive Chef at Marbella. Marcello splits his time between Marbella and Mallorca (downtown in the Warehouse District). Next time you are dining at Marbella, feel free to ask your server if you could meet Marcelo when he has a minute. He is always happy to visit the dining room to say "Ola".

Directions & Maps

We are located on the north side of Chagrin Boulevard, about 1 mile east of I-271. We are directly across the street from the Beachwood Country Club. If you are coming from downtown Cleveland, it should only take you about 25 minutes.

We are only minutes from the prestigious Eaton Square shopping gallery and the Chagrin Valley Metroparks. Parking is free and is located right in front of the building.
