Manolo Torres is one of your hosts at Marbella. Most people call him Manny. If you dine frequently at our "sister" restaurant, Mallorca on W. 9th Street in downtown Cleveland's "Warehouse District", you probably recognize him. Manny grew up in Spain. He is the founder of Mallorca and the inspiration behind Marbella.

You will surely get to meet Manny one night at Marbella. Manny is always offering suggestions on food and wine and will often sit down with you for a few minutes if invited. So that you can learn a bit about Senor Torres, we have included a little quote from him below:

"As a native of Spain, I had the pleasure of growing up around fine wines. As a child I remember fondly the times I spent with family picking the best grapes to be sent to vineyards all around Spain and Portugal.

My father taught me the difference between the good grapes and the bad and how those differences transferred into excellent wines.

I was lucky to learn the art of wine making and became an expert in the process in the many years of making wine for the family. As an adult, I have spent most of my professional career owning and managing fine restaurants where only the best wines were served.

I have cultivated that knowledge; and my appreciation for wine; and I'm proud to introduce you to our fine wine list. I have shopped the world looking for the best wines to serve my customers. I hope you enjoy your choice."

The Marbella wine list has been handpicked by Manolo Torres. Some of his favorite wines come from the Rioja region of Spain. Next time you talk with Manny, ask him to suggest a fantastic Spanish wine to accompany your meal. He will be happy to oblige.

Marcello splits his time between Marbella and Mallorca (downtown in the Warehouse District). Next time you are dining at Marbella, feel free to ask your server if you could meet Marcelo when he has a minute. He is always happy to visit the dining room to say "Ola".

Traditions From Spain!

Most everything you taste, smell, see and hear at Marbella can trace its roots to Spain.

This web site features an outstanding section on the history and culture of our native land.

It is a must read for anyone interested in where we learned our customs, recipes and lust for life.

The Spanish Culture focuses on fun and festivities. Many of our staff members are rich in Latin heritage. This influence promotes the sense of adventure and celebration you experience at Marbella.

Marbella is considered a fine dining restaurant because of our outstanding cuisine, piano music, crisp white table clothes and exemplary service. Even with these refinements, we still can't help but have fun every night.

Contagious laughter permeates our lounge and dining rooms. At times you wonder who is enjoying themselves more, our guests or our staff members. You will often see our entire crew singing happy birthday to an embarrassed and blushing senorita.

Marbella is not a stuffy Eastside restaurant. Far from it, we are exactly the opposite. Before you know it, you will probably know the first names of a few members of our staff.

We are friendly and talkative, although, for many of us, Spanish is our native language. We have servers, chefs and busboys that hail from Brazil, Portugal, Mexico and Spain. After a night of dining at Marbella, you will feel as if you vacationed in Marbella, Spain.

We are located on the north side of Chagrin Boulevard, about 3 miles east of I-271. We are directly across the street from the Beachmont Country Club. If you are coming from downtown Cleveland, it should only take you about 25 minutes.

Parking is free and is located right in front of the building.
